Welcome to Zanaboni Tango & Salsa
The purpose of Zanaboni Tango & Salsa is to promote and support Argentine Tango and New York Salsa in New Zealand. Our aim is to teach Argentine Tango as it is danced in the milongas of Buenos Aires, authentic social tango dancing, along with the knowledge of proper protocol. Also to introduce and teach New York Salsa a.k.a. Mambo On 2 to the New Zealand dance scene.

Salsa
  • Internationally acclaimed New York "Mambo King" Eddie Torres.
  • Paula Cornier, whose technique for teaching, "Mambo On 2", timing, has been lauded by the salsa music legend, Willie Colon
In New York Maida participated as a dancer in Tango documentaries shown on New York television. She has performed salsa and tango in various New York dance venues and New York City sponsored events along with teaching salsa and tango. Maida has also had the privilege and honour of performing solo on the stage of the famed Carnegie Hall, as a principal dancer of the " Antranig Dance Ensemble" featuring ethnic dances of the world, (Russian, Armenian, Greek, Arabic). She also toured and performed with the troupe, travelling to the major cities in the U.S., los Angeles, San Fransisco, Washington D.C., Boston. Maida moved to Auckland last year where she teaches, organizes Milongas and runs her Tango clothing business which was featured in the 2003 fall issue of the London Tango Review
